FINDING FUTURES MOBILE TEACHING UNIT

Finding Futures is a community based, not for profit, employment and training agency for people with a disability, injury or condition and the disadvantaged. Their vision is to create opportunities for individuals to maximize their potential and to assist them to develop pathways into further training and sustainable employment.

Prestige Jayco Bendigo’s Senior Sales Consultant , Kelvin Baker, has been working with Finding Futures to create a custom built Work n Play that can be utilised as a mobile teaching unit.

In 2009 Kevin O'Loughlin from Finding Futures approached Kelvin with a proposed plan to build a Mobile Teaching Unit. After two days of extensive planning it was decided to build the unit using a Jayco Work and Play as a base and make the necessary modifications to this unit.

The newly modified Work n Play has been fully fitted out to meet the needs for Finding Futures. The Work n Play now boasts a fold out double bed in the front, small kitchen incorporating a RM4701 3-way fridge, microwave and sink, 6 separate work stations all with power points & TV points to the work stations, a TV point to the external of the van, a fully enclosed annex to compliment the roll out awning, an Ibis air conditioner for client comfort & two ramps for wheelchair access to the rear of the van via a lift up rear canopy.

The van will be used extensively throughout the central Victoria area for training disabled clients to get them into the workforce. Kelvin is passionate about this project and put considerable time and effort into making sure the Work n Play was designed to meet the needs of Finding Future.
