First trip plus many more to come

Not even shocking weather and high winds could ruin our trip! We set off on a seven week trip up north to Mooloolaba, Queensland. Our Jayco Sterling was a pleasure to tow and an enjoyable mode of travel!
We did run into a little bit of trouble though, when we followed a narrow track which lead us to a dead end! It is very difficult to turn a van around on a single traffic lane, so avoid it if you can!

We enjoyed our trip so much that we have already planned our next trip! Next year we plan on taking our caravan from Adelaide, via the Ghan “Great southern rail” on a trip up to Alice Springs to explore the outback. Should be a LOT OF FUN!!
If I could provide any advice to future caravaners out there it would be to try and research the weather conditions before you leave, and if it is going to be windy and/or wet, take blocks of wood to place under your vans jacks and jockey wheel, and avoid putting up the annexe in strong wind. But please don’t let that put you off-we just chose the wrong time of year- We plan on doing a lot more caravanning in the near future!
It’s an amazing adventure and we hope others get to benefit from the experience, like we did!
We can’t wait for our next holiday in our caravan!
