A starry starry night at Burdekin Falls Dam
Lyn Russell and Paul Spooner from Townsvill, Queensland recently took their Jayco Flamingo Camper Trailer and cocker spaniel Tilly to Burdekin Falls Damn near Ravenswood, North Queensland.
While it rained heavily along with the wind about an hour after set up on a Friday evening two weeks ago, they were safely inside the camper trailer along with their cocker spaniel, Tilly, watching the black clouds coming across the hills along with the awful weather.
Thankfully, Saturday and Sunday were perfect and allowed Lyn, Paul and Tilly to sit outside and relax after a hectic week. They even sat outside on their new lay back chairs under the stars Saturday night watching the Milky Way listening to the water falling over the spill way in the dam that could be seen from their site.
Burdekin Falls Damn is a wonderful place to visit for some peace and quiet over a few days, including keeping an eye on the too-friendly peacocks and kangaroos that wander freely around the park!!
Lyn and Paul highly recommend travelling to this beautiful location.
