Sonia & Georgie's Queensland Adventures

Sonia & Georgie Lanham from Nerang Queensland purchased their Jayco 21.65-4 Sterling caravan from senior sales consultant Kelvin Baker in Bendigo in August 2008.

Since picking up their Sterling caravan they have been travelling throughout Queensland.
We catch up with them when they stop in at Rainbow Beach to see how they’ve enjoyed their trip.

How are you going? Great we hope!

As for Georgie and myself we are still on the road now being 2 years and totally love it. We went up to Cape York in August yes we did the Tip of Australia awesome, Took the tent and car and off we went for 12 day. WeswWent to Wepia, Bamaga stayed at Punsand camping grounds, visited Thursday and Horn Island , Thursday Island has to be the cleanest place we have ever been not a scrap of rubbish, they take pride of their island, I was very interested in their culture . If only they were our natives I can dream hey.....
Down to Elliot and Twin Falls spent my Birthday there Loved it so much didn't want to leave. We visited Lockhart River not worth going there the rubbish was unbelievable disgusting ,stayed at Chilli Beach for 2 days..that was enough checked out Portland... Then we were out of there off to Cooktown is a lovely place we stayed there 2 weeks ......
Port Douglas is nice but Ben Cropp's fishing museum isn't there anymore, I was so looking forward at seeing that... I heard he may have moved it to Cairns??? Then we move on to Mareeba great place we stayed there for nearly 6 weeks, Went to Chilliagoe stayed for three days in a Motel, loved all the old history and the fanastic Ford collection all these are cars are in working order even the Model T ford. The caves are magnificent and magical.. Back to Mareeba we went. We found out that my daughter in-law Stacey is having her 25th Birthday Party on 31st October, Georgie said he'd love for us to be down there for her birthday so we are going to suprise her...... when we finally left Mareeba we headed to Paronella Park "a live enhancing experience" .....What one man and one dream acheived and the dream continues a must see if you come up this way... then we headed south to Blowing Bowen , at present we near Rainbow Beach at Inskip looking at Fraser Island hard life but someone has to do it, I'm lucky it's us..... We leave here on Friday next stop is The Gold Coast, the Party ....Must go Georgie is waiting for me to go to town.
